Well, the ManufactOn groundhog did not see his shadow either this year, so we were compelled to get out our “spring release” a bit early this year!
ENJOY THE WEATHER AND THE NEW FEATURES!!!
SCAN QR CODES VIA THE WEB APP
Now not only can you scan QRs from your mobile device using the ManufactOn mobile app, you can also scan them via the web app on a handheld device (tablet). Now you gain access to the full set of features and functions available in the web app combined with the ease of a QR scan to instantly get into the production or material order.
ENHANCED LARGE MODEL VIEWER FUNCTIONS
We’ve added more features and functions to the ManufactOn Large Model Viewer (Powered by the BIM360 Forge Viewer) including:
- A handy “Legend” so that you know exactly what each color in the model is telling you
- Information about how recent the model was uploaded into the system to assure you that you are looking at the latest version
- Enhanced filter functions to give you even more capability to slice and dice the data to learn and share what your risks and opportunities are
VIEW EMPTY SHIPPING ORDERS
After the contents of a shipment have been moved on to other shipment for storage or delivery to the site, how do you know what else was associated with those items, like notes, documents, delivery dates, etc.
With this new feature, even after a shipment has been fully managed, it is possible to get back to that critical meta-data and documents to enable you to have a complete understanding of your shipments.
CONVERT AND UPLOAD PDFS OF YOUR SPOOL DRAWINGS
Now in Fabrication CAD MEP, it is possible to not only automatically upload the spool drawings that are associated with a spool, you can convert them to PDFs first. This will ensure that everyone who needs access to the spool drawings will have that access regardless of the authoring tools to which they may have access on the device they happen to be using.
